CTA holds two public meetings each year. (Check out our news page for info on our next upcoming meeting.) As a member of CTA you can help shape the future of the organization and take part in prioritizing our goals as they evolve. Meetings are the lifeblood of our organization, where we communicate recent developments in the archaeological community, cover old and new business, hear reports from our committees, and provide a forum for open discussion and ideas for the CTA. Attending the meeting allows an archaeologist to not only stay abreast of recent developments in CTA but also to lend his or her voice to important discussions and research. In our Spring Meetings, research papers are presented, allowing our members to share their most interesting or current studies in the field of archaeology, furthering CTA goals of communication in the archaeological community. The next CTA meeting is our annual Fall joint meeting with the TAS, to be held on October 23-25th, 2009 in Del Rio, Texas. The Fall 2009 meeting is shaping up to be one of the best, with a great guest speaker, a multitude of excellent research presentations, the silent auction, and employment networking for those in the CRM industry.
